
Bio
Kate Schmidt PA-C, MPH is a bilingual (English-Spanish) physician assistant. Prior to beginning her work in infectious diseases, she worked as an EMT in Fort Worth for 10 years. She holds dual master’s degrees from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Physician Assistant Studies (2018) and Public Health (2014). Kate received her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Austin College in 2008. While at Austin College she was able to pursue her love of medicine and Spanish through volunteering at a rural medicine clinic in Santa Marta, El Salvador and studying abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
During her free time, Kate enjoys traveling, cooking, spending time with family and friends and being a devoted dog mom.
